Texans' training camp to start July 28

Under new coach David Culley and new general manager Nick Caserio, the Texans kick off preparations for the regular season on July 28 during their first day of training camp.

The Texans, coming off a 4-12 season and an offseason dramatically overhauling the roster, announced five practices open to season ticket members: Aug. 2, Aug. 3, Aug. 6, Aug. 7 and Aug. 9.

Public practices will be open exclusively to season ticket members as a benefit. They will be contacted for how to claim their tickets. Meanwhile, the general public will have the chance to win limited tickets to attend camp starting July 16 at 6 p.m. at tex.nz/camp

On July 31 as part of the NFL's leaguewide 'Back Together Saturday,' the Texans will host a private date for youth football teams. The Texans are holding a school supply drive Aug. 1 to Aug. 13 with fans able to donate to elementary, middle and high school students at  tex.nz/SSD or at any open practice.

“Training camp is always one of the most exciting times of the year for our entire organization, but even more so this year as we welcome fans back out to the practices,” Texans team president Greg Grissom said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to do so and have enhanced the experience for our season ticket members and fans, including improvements to the seating areas and expanding the shaded areas. Our dedicated fans will enjoy a first-hand view of our team as they prepare for the season and we can’t wait to share this memorable experience with them.”
