Texans met virtually with South Dakota State quarterback Chris Oladokun

South Dakota State quarterback Chris Oladokun met virtually with the Texans, according to a league source. 

He previously visited the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears and has worked out for the Arizona Cardinals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Oladokun passed for 3,164 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. He rushed for 166 yards and also caught 2 touchdown passes.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Tampa, Florida native led the Jackrabbits to an 11-4 record, including a victory over Colorado State and a win over North Dakota State. South Dakota State won three playoff games before losing to Montana State in the semifinals. 

A transfer from South Florida and Samford, Oladokun passed for 2,064 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2019 and rushed for 493 yards and 8 scores. He tied a school record with 6 touchdown passes and 1 touchdown run in a 2018 game at Tennessee Tech.

He was selected to play in the Blue-Grey Football All-American Bowl as a prep senior at Tampa. As a senior, he passed for 1,390 yards, 15 touchdowns, and had three interceptions. He had 57 career touchdown passes in high school.
