Astros Prepare for 2018 Spring Training

HOUSTON, TX - On Wednesday, Feb. 14, the Astros will hold the first official workout for pitchers and catchers at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches complex in West Palm Beach, FL, marking the beginning of Spring Training camp. The first official workout for the full squad is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 19.

This will be the Astros second season at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches complex in West Palm Beach. Astros Spring Training workouts are open to the public with no charge. Start times are TBA.

GAME SCHEDULE
The World Series Champion Astros will begin Grapefruit League play on Friday, Feb. 23, hosting the Washington Nationals at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. The Astros, who share the Spring Training complex with the Nationals, will be the home team. The Astros will play 31 Spring Training games in Florida overall, including 15 at home. Additionally, the Astros will play two exhibition games at Minute Maid Park vs. the Milwaukee Brewers, March 26-27. A full Spring Training schedule is attached to this release.

RADIO SCHEDULE
Virtually all Spring Training games will be broadcast on SportsTalk 790, with the exception of three split-squad road games. All Spring Training weekend games will be carried live, while some mid-week games will air on tape-delay.

Astros fans have several options for purchasing Spring Training tickets, which are available now. Tickets can be purchased online at mlb.com/ballparkpalmbeaches or by calling 877-935-5668. Also, the Box Office at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches is currently open on weekdays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET (Saturdays: 10-2 p.m.).
