26 Point Lead Disappears as Rockets Fall to Thunder

A cold third quarter gave way to the Rockets surrendering a 26 point lead as Houston fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder, 117-112.

The Rockets were outscored 42-20 in the third quarter and were outrebounded 53-39 in the game.

James Harden led the team in scoring with 42 points, extending his 30-point game streak to 29 straight. Harden is now two games shy of Wilt Chamberlain’s second longest streak. Chris Paul was one assist shy of a triple-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Iman Shumpert made his debut with the Rockets, scoring three points in 24 minutes of play. The Rockets host the Dallas Mavericks Monday night at 7:00pm.
