Houston Cougars Beat SMU, Clinch Share of AAC Title

The Houston Cougars' Men's Basketball team defeated SMU 90-79 Thursday night to clinch a share of the American Athletic Conference Regular-Season title. With the win, the Cougars will be the number one seed in next week's AAC tournament.

Armoni Brooks scored 20 points with 10 rebounds to lead UH. Corey Davis Jr. had 17 points, Breaon Brady added 16 points and Galen Robinson Jr. chipped in 11 points. Houston shot 53% from the field as their bench outscored SMU's, 37-1.

UH improves to 28-2 on the season and will travel to take on Cincinnati Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 11:00am CT.
