Astros Beat Rockies 9-8 Behind Two Homers From Gurriel

The Houston Astros opened up a short two game series Tuesday night with a 9-8 victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Yuli Gurriel led the way with two home runs and four RBI on the night. Gurriel hit a solo jack in the 2nd and then hit a two run go-ahead blast in the top of the 7th which was eventually the game winning home run. Gurriel had three hits total in the game. Alex Bregman and Michael Brantley each had two RBI in the game. George Springer had three hits in front of Jose Altuve who went 4-5 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Will Harris received the win on the mound for the Astros. Roberto Osuna recorded his 18th save by tossing one inning with one hit and one strike out.

Wade Miley will start game two of the series, looking for his 7th win of the season Wednesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10pm CT.
