Altuve's Four Hit Night Helps Astros to Extra Innings Win Over Rangers

The Astros made three errors, gave up three home runs and had a couple of base running blunders against the Rangers Saturday night but managed to hang out to win 7-6 in 11 innings.

Jose Altuve hit a clutch RBI double in the top of the 11th to score George Springer from 1st to break a 5-5 tie and advanced to third on the late throw to home. The next AB was an RBI single by Myles Straw to score Altuve and add an insurance run. Altuve was 4-6 on the night with an RBI and three runs scored. Alex Bregman hit a solo home run on his way to a two hit night as Michael Brantley also had two hits with two RBI.

Wade Miley started on the hill for Houston and went 6.2 innings and surrendered just four hits. Three of those hits were home runs as he allowed three earned runs. Miley struck out five and walked one. Josh James got his 4th win of the season by tossing two scoreless innings, striking out four and walking just one. Roberto Osuna recorded his 20th save of the season.

The Astros will look to split the series with the Rangers Sunday afternoon. Justin Verlander will start on the mound in search of his 11th win.
