Bars re-open; Travel restrictions lifted; Hidalgo extends stay home order

The Texas economy continues to re-open under the guidelines set by Governor Greg Abbott.

Texas bars are allowed to open to 25% capacity today. A few local bars opened up at midnight. Texas Restaurants have been allowed to increase capacity in their dining rooms to 50%.

Travelers coming to Texas from states like New York don't have to undergo a mandatory quarantine. The Governor lifted those restrictions yesterday.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo extended the stay at home work safe order until June 10th. Houston area Congressman Dan Crenshaw says there was no need for this.

"This portrays a real sense of immaturity on her part. Let's not forget that she has zero experience for this job, and that has really been shown to be the case throughout the crisis," Crenshaw explained. You can listen to the entire interview below.

Hidalgo amended her order to comply with Governor Abbott's orders, and issued guidelines for workplaces including staggered shifts.
