HOUSTON – The Texans’ dramatic overhaul of their offensive line continued Friday as they are signing veteran offensive tackle Trent Brown to a one-year, $3 million contract, per a league source.
Brown is represented by agent Drew Rosenhaus.
Brown figures into the offensive line as a right tackle candidate and added for swing duties, per a league source, because he’s also played left tackle,
Brown tore his patellar tendon in the third game last season and has made a sound recovery.
A former San Francisco 49ers seventh-round draft pick who played for the New England Patriots twice and Las Vegas Raiders, Brown was a three-game starter for the Cincinnati Bengals last season before he got hurt.
