Evidence Suggests Caserio Can't Live Off One Big Texans Trade Forever

Friday on The Dan Mathews Show, Dan and Josh discussed the comparisons between former Astros GM Dana Brown and Texans GM Nick Caserio. Josh made the case that both GMs have, in some ways, coasted on their respective blockbuster trades — Caserio’s Deshaun Watson trade, which netted the Texans a windfall of draft picks, and Brown’s Kyle Tucker trade, which brought back Cam Smith, Hayden Wesneski, and Isaac Paredes. While both trades certainly stand out as highlights on their respective resumes, Josh argues that at a certain point, the fan base needs to see more — which is why Brown is no longer with the Astros.
