New Book Alleges Astros Continued Sign-Stealing Scheme in 2019

The Astros sign-stealing scandal is a story that just won't die. And it appears many fans, players and even media members of opposing teams just appear to be obsessed with it, even four years later.

A new book by Yankees writer Andy Martino accuses the Astros of continuing their sign-stealing ways into the 2019 postseason. In his book Cheated: The Inside Story of the Astros Scandal and a Colorful History of Sign Stealing, he cites the Astros using "whistling" from the dugout in stealing and relaying signs from Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez tipping pitches.

In the game Martino cites the Astros were doing this, Houston lost 7-0. They had just three hits. So even if they were doing something outside the lines, it didn't help.

Martino also says that one team asked MLB to look for "Houston players wearing vibrating Band-Aids during the 2019 ALDS." Any idea what a "vibrating Band-Aid" is? How it operates? Does it run on batteries?

Some of these ideas are so absurd it makes people like Andy Martino look like a tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy theory lunatic. And so do Yankees fans. And Dodgers fans. And everyone else wanting to burn the Astros at the stake for something many teams were proven to have been doing.
