According to Manager Dusty Baker, outfielder Chas McCormick is headed to the IL.
The Astros have recalled IF Rylan Bannon (#38) from Triple A Sugar Land. He takes the roster spot of OF Chas McCormick, who was placed on the 10-day IL with lower back tightness. McCormick’s IL placement is backdated to Saturday, April 15.
McCormick left Friday night’s game with vision issues. Dusty said McCormick’s vision is better but he injured his back while working out Sunday.
