The Texas Rangers introduced their edition of the Nike City Connect uniform series, and they're not good.
The logo on the uniform is a new mythical beast called a "Peagle." What?
According to the release, the "Peagle" represents two of Dallas-Fort Worth's Minor League teams from the 1970s - the Panthers and the Eagles.
Every person I saw discuss the jersey release said, "Oh you need to hear the back story first!" No, we don't. I don't need to hear a story to see that a jersey or uniform looks bad. Isn't the whole purpose of these to look cool and attract people to purchase them?
Contrasted with the Astros' City Connect, there was no denying how awesome Houston's space-theme was easy to see, and so many connections to the city.
With the Rangers' City Connect jersey, it just looks like some variation of a Rice baseball uniform.
