Brantley & McCormick Returning Soon, Altuve Back Swinging a Bat

According to Chandler Rome of The Athletic, it sounds like the Astros will have two of their regular bats back in the lineup very soon, with a third coming along.

Rome said it sounds like the Astros expect Michael Brantley back on Monday when the team begins a series with the Angels in Los Angeles. Brantley has been rehabbing with the Sugar Land Space Cowboys.

Astros outfielder Chas McCormick could be back as soon as Tuesday as he returns from a back injury.

In addition, Astros second baseman Jose Altuve swung a bat and took batting practice with the team prior to Saturday night’s game in Seattle. There’s been no clear timetable for a return for Altuve, but clearly this is a great sign.
