On Monday night at Fenway Park, Jose Altuve did something he's never done in his career- hitting for the cycle.
In his second at-bat in the top of the 3rd, Altuve hit a leadoff double. In the top of the 5th, he hit a leadoff single. In the top of the 6th, he came through with an RBI triple. And in the top of the 8th, with Martin Maldonado on base, Altuve hit a two-run homerun to left center to complete the cycle.
Altuve became the first Astros player to hit for the cycle since Brandon Barnes did back in July 2013 vs the Mariners.
The Astros went on to beat Boston, 13-5.
