Hidden amongst Bob Nightengale's latest MLB tidbits in his article at USA Today, he mentions near the bottom that the Houston Astros are expected to promote Joe Espada to be their manager on Monday.
The move just makes sense for the Astros to continue and sustain their latest run of success by staying in-house and promoting the guy who already knows all the players and the system. We will wait to see if the news becomes official on Monday.
