According to Brian McTaggart, the Houston Astros have agreed to a minor league deal with veteran second baseman Brendan Rodgers,
inviting him to Spring Training.
Rodgers batted .267/.314/.407 with 13 homers and 57 RBIs with the Rockies last year. With the Astros experimenting with Jose Altuve in left field, Rodgers can compete with Mauricio Dubón and others for time at second base.
