Rockets Alperen Sengun Selected as Replacement Player for NBA All-Star Game

HOUSTON – Today, the NBA announced that Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun was selected as a replacement player for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game. He joins Kevin Durant who was selected as an All-Star reserve on Feb. 1. Dating back to 2014-15, it is the second time two Rockets have been selected to an All-Star Game (James Harden and Russell Westbrook in 2019-20).

Sengun is making his second-straight All-Star appearance. Last season, he became the Rockets first All-Star since 2020. Sengun is the 12th player in franchise history to be selected an All-Star multiple times.

This season, Sengun is averaging 20.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.41 steals and 1.00 blocks. Larry Bird (1984-85), Kevin Garnett (2002-03) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (2023-24) are the only players in NBA history to have averaged at least 20.0 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 6.0 apg, 1.00 spg and 1.00 bpg in a single season.

Earlier this season, Sengun became the seventh player in NBA history to have reached his totals of points, rebounds and assists through the first 300 games of a career and the second to have done so while adding steals and blocks.
