2x Super Bowl Champion and MVP, Eli Manning joins Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show. They talk about the Monday Night Football Manningcast and Bill Belichick’s debut and the friendly barbs they exchanged. He talks about managing a team as a quarterback and communication with coaches and receivers. And he says he has no problem with being critical of his former team, the New York Giants.
Dan Patrick: “(Bill) Belichick talked about going to those Super Bowl parties after you lose a Super Bowl, and then you go, ‘Um, I never went to one of those,’ and it was an awesome line just to see Belichick’s response to it.”
Eli Manning: “I almost said like, ‘Hey Bill, you invited to Peyton’s loser Super Bowl party?’ But I bit my tongue. I’m like, I can’t say that to coach Belichick, (I have) too much respect for him and he won too many other Super Bowls, but...I was surprised about everybody had to have lost a championship to get invited to this party, but I guess I’m glad I wasn’t invited."
