Springer Stays Hot Hits Inside-The-Park Homerun as Astros Win 7th Straight

The Houston Astros brought on another landslide of hits Tuesday night as they dominated the Tigers 11-4 to win their 7th straight. Houston had 14 hits in the victory,

George Springer hit an inside-the-park home run in the 5th inning to go along with a 2-3 night to continue his hot streak at the plate. Springer was also walked twice in the game. Carlos Correa got the Astros on the board early in the first inning with an opposite field three-run dinger. Correa went 2-5 with three RBI. Michael Brantley was also 2-5 on the night with two RBI. Aledmys Diaz hit his fifth home run of the season on his way to a 2-3 performance. Houston has scored 45 runs in their last four games.

Wade Miley earned his fourth win of the season throwing six innings allowing only four runs. Miley struck out five while walking two.

Houston will look for the series sweep of the Tigers Wednesday night as Justin Verlander takes the mound. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10pm CT.
