Cole and Marisnick Lead an 11-2 Rout of Angels

Despite all of the boos and ire of the Angel faithful, Jake Marisnick had three hits, another highlight reel catch in center field and stole a base to lead the Astros in an 11-2 victory, Wednesday night. Marisnick is 5-7 in the last two games and has handled himself well with all of the negative criticism surrounding him this series.

Gerrit Cole dominated through seven innings. Cole struck out 11, walked one and gave up just one earned run on seven hits. He is now 6-0 in his last 10 starts with a 2.11 ERA.

Michael Brantley and George Springer both homered in the game to ignite the offense. Brantley hit a two run shot in the 1st with Springer hitting a three run jack in the 5th. Jose Altuve had two hits and two RBI in the win. Tyler White and Alex Bregman also had an RBI.

The Astros will finish the series in Anaheim Thursday night with Wade Miley taking the hill. First pitch is slated for 8:07pm CT.
