Lovie Smith on Titans' Julio Jones: 'Special player .. we'll have a plan'

Now that the Tennessee Titans have acquired wide receiver Julio Jones in a trade from the Atlanta Falcons, Texans defensive coordinator Lovie Smith has to devise and implement a strategy to try to contain the seven-time Pro Bowl selection.

At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Jones is an extremely challenging matchup for opposing defenses working in tandem with A.J. Brown, Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry.

"He's just a special player," Smith said of Jones, 32, who has 848 career catches for 12,896 yards and 60 touchdowns. "It seems like each week we’re gonna be saying that. That’s what we signed up for, to play top guys at all positions each week.

"As an NFL player, you've got to want that challenge. We got what we’re asking for. Tennessee got stronger when they added a player like Julio Jones to the roster. We’ll have a plan."
