The Houston Texans have a visit lined up with Texas A&M offensive tackle Avery Gennesy.

The Houston Texans have a visit lined up with Texas A&M offensive tackle Avery Gennesy, using one of their 30 draft prospect visits to bring him to Houston.

Originally starting his college career at East Mississippi Community College for two seasons, he 6-3, 318 lbs. tackle signed with Texas A&M in 2014. Earning  the starting job at left tackle, Gennesy helped the Aggies offense to the 7th best offensive season in school history racking up over 5,000 yards.

Gennesy started left tackle in 2016 with a young group around him and he continued to a season that resulted in All-SEC honors. Some feel he could move to guard but see him as a tackle in the long run at the NFL level.

The Texans continue to look for offensive tackle help with the injury to Derek Newton and lack of depth behind starter Duane Brown. It is clear that the Texans are checking every option in the draft.

Gennesy was participated in the East West Shrine game.
