The NFL is suspending Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott for six games, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Elliott has three business days to file an appeal and a hearing must be scheduled within 10 days of the appeal being filed. Schefter reports that Elliott is likely to appeal.
Elliott, who was the league's leading rusher last season, is believed to have violated the league's Personal Conduct Policy.
