Whenever teams have joint practices in preseason, tempers can flare, as we saw a few years ago when the Texans practiced against the Washington Redskins.
On Wednesday, holding joint practices with the 49ers in Houston, those tempers flares once again.
Houston wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was ejected from practice Wednesday after getting into a fight with San Francisco 49ers cornerback Jimmie Ward. Ward appeared to knock off Hopkins' helmet as he ran his route, yet Hopkins was still able to catch the ball. That provoked a light shove from Ward followed by a scrap. Hopkins was told to hit the showers.
