Deshaun Watson Took Bus to Jacksonville for Jaguars Game

According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the Houston Texans bussed quarterback Deshaun Watson to the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 12-hour bus ride starting in Houston was a necessity due to Watson’s bruised lung and with the lack of oxygen on the airplane, there are increased chances for complications.

Head coach Bill O’Brien discussed Watson’s situation after the game.

“We have a great guy playing quarterback playing for us.” O’Brien said of Deshaun Watson. “He is going to do whatever it takes to help this team win.”

O’Brien continued, “The logistics of all those things, that is really something medically we take the most precautions we can possibly take to put the player in the best position to be able to play when he is cleared to play.”

Watson has been dealing with multiple health issues since a rough game against the Dallas Cowboys and helped lead the Texans to a 20-7 win over the Jaguars on Sunday. Going 12 of 24 for 219 yards and a touchdown, it was Watson’s first game of the season without an interception.

Deshaun Watson talked about the trip to Jacksonville and J.J. Watt wants to hitch a ride back to drink some cold ones on it.
