LaNorris Sellers Named QB1 at South Carolina, Latest SEC Fall News, Brett M

On today's show, we start with the news that Shane Beamer named LaNorris Sellers the starting QB for South Carolina. While it wasn't a surprising decision, Beamer made it clear that Sellers is not guaranteed to the be the starter all season, and Robby Ashford could still  earn the starting job at some point if Sellers struggles. Will Sellers make it the entire season as QB1? 

Other SEC news around the league: Eli Drinkwitz calls out Mizzou fans to help out the home opener next week; Hugh Freeze names a position group that still concerns him a ton; Ole Miss has a defensive lineman arrested; Kirby Smart updates a few key injuries on his roster; Steve Sarkisian said Quinn Ewers is taking that leader role already with the team; Tennessee releases their event schedule for the season; Alabama names their team captains for the 2024 season. 

ESPN released their broadcast assignments for SEC Week 1, we run through those. 

Brett McMurphy of The Action Network put out his season predictions, he has four SEC teams making the playoff, but none of them include Texas or Mizzou. And McMurphy has 11 SEC teams going bowling, with five teams not making a bowl game.

Lastly, we touch on some of the latest SEC recruiting commitments at schools like Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, Tennessee and Florida. And the SEC releases their men's basketball complete conference schedule for the '24-'25 basketball season.
