Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer has a long piece about the future of Damian Lillard in Portland that is worth a read.
The interesting note from the piece is the list of teams that his front office sources have said are checking in on Lillard's availability.
"Few team executives expect a Dame deal to happen this offseason. But multiple front-office sources say the Heat, Kings, Knicks, Rockets, and Sixers have recently been the most aggressive suitors."
Now look, I really doubt the Rockets would be all the way in here unless they had an avenue to another star joining Lillard down here in Houston. They have the assets to get in the mix, but at this point is it worth giving up all these assets for a 31 year old guard? I don't think so.
