The odds were always stacked against Michael Brantley starting the season in the lineup for the Astros after coming off of season ending shoulder surgery last year. The matter became more complicated as he had to step away from camp twice this spring to handle a family matter. Dusty Baker this morning in Florida did not make it sound as if he will be ready to go for opening day. Brantley has still not appeared in a game this spring.
