Astros Drop Season Opener To White Sox, Snap Opening Day Winning Streak

The Astros opening day winning streak came to an end on Thursday as they fell to the White Sox 3-2. The Astros were shutdown all night long by Dylan Cease, scoring their two runs off a wild pitch and a solo home run from Yordan Alvarez. Cease picked up the win for Chicago while Ryan Pressly took the loss for the Astros after giving up two runs in the ninth.

The series will continue tomorrow with game two of the four game set. The Astros will give the ball to Cristian Javier. Chicago hands the ball to Lance Lynn. First pitch on Friday is set for 7:10 with coverage starting at 6 on SportsTalk 790.
