KPRC reporter Aaron Wilson joins Stan Norfleet and Chris Gordy on Next Up to discuss the Houston Texans earning a playoff spot with a win against the Indianapolis Colts and clinching the AFC South title with the Jacksonville Jaguars losing to the Tennessee Titans.
The Texans will face the Cleveland Browns on Saturday at NRG Stadium. The Browns beat the Texans 36-22 in week 16 with Stroud in concussion protocol, but Wilson says "it's a different ball game when Stroud is in there." "You can't be satisfied," and "they've been in playoff mode for weeks." Wilson breaks down the keys to the game, as well as gives an update on players returning from injury.
Rumors and reports arose this week concerning offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik and general manager Nick Caserio considering leaving the Texans organization. The Carolina Panthers have requested an interview with Slowik for their head coach position. "You have to take these interviews," but Wilson is doubtful Slowik will move on from the Texans. Wilson also points out that Caserio is under contract, so "it doesn't make any sense" for him to leave either.
