September 8, 2002...a special day in Houston sports history as the NFL returned to the city with the first game for the expansion Texans. No better way to kickoff your first year in the league than by beating the team that resides a few hours north, the Dallas Cowboys. While it was not a pretty football game overall, it was one beautiful site for a city that was football starved. The first touchdown in franchise history came from David Carr to tight end Billy Miller, the defense owned the night, shutting down the Quincy Carter led Cowboys.
