How Is The Astros Season Going? Let's Find Out On MLB The Show 20

Needing ways to pass our time without sports, I am playing what would have been each Astros game this season on MLB The Show 20. Yesterday was sweep day in Oakland as Zack Greinke took the hill.

Greinke dealt all day, throwing seven shutout innings of two-hit ball, striking out eight and walking one. The Astros defense tried to fail Greinke a couple of times thanks to two errors from Aledmys Diaz who made the start at first for Yuli Gurriel who had the day off for rest. Diaz made up for his two errors in the field by picking up a three hit day at the plate, driving in two runs late on a jam shot double, his second double of the game. Diaz, Yordan Alvarez and Kyle Tucker drove in six of the Astros seven runs in the win, two for each guy. Alvarez picked up his two RBI in the seventh on a double against former Astros pitcher, Mike Fiers, who the A's have already kicked out of their rotation this early in the season, moving him to the bullpen.

Now 6-1 on the season, the Astros will look for their seventh win of the season on Friday against the Angels, following a day off on Thursday for the team. Lance McCullers will look to pick up his second win of the season in his second start of the 2020 season.

Check back here on the blog on Friday to see if the Astros can win again. Boy oh boy do I wish I was doing blogs about real games and not me playing them on my PS4. You can see these videos when I put them out at my twitter account which you can find by CLICKING HERE.
