Championship Weekend Spec's Pick and Drink of the Week

It's championship weekend in college football and it's time to ramp our game up with our picks and drink of the week, brought to you by our friends at Spec's. First up, let's get to our picks.

Sean: USC -3 vs. Oregon

USC v Oregon

He's doing it, Sean is rolling with his boys at USC as they look to finish off their shortened season a perfect 6-0 ahead of the bowl games. USC is 3-2 against the spread, Oregon is 2-3 against the spread on the season.

Michael: Clemson -10.5 vs. Notre Dame

Clemson v Notre Dame

I think Clemson makes a statement in this one and hammers Notre Dame. Clemson has to win this game to get in, Notre Dame is in no matter what. Neither team has been wonderful against the spread this season, Clemson is just 4-6, while Notre Dame is 5-5.

Now to our drink of the week, brought to you by Spec's.

St Germain Champagne Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons St. Germain
  • 2 tablespoons gin
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup or simple syrup
  • 6 tablespoons champagne

Directions:

  1. Place the St. Germain, gin, lemon juice, and syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake 15 seconds until cold. Strain the liquid into a champagne flute.
  2. Top off the glass with champagne (no need to measure). Garnish and serve. (Note: You can also make a large batch of the St. Germain, gin, lemon juice, and syrup ahead if desired, then measure out 6 tablespoons per glass.)
