Being a Houston Texans fan truly is like living in the movie Groundhog Day. We wake up being hopeful, they lose, they stink or they win and eventually end their seasons in embarrassing fashion. Whatever it is, the Texans are least consistent when it comes to making their fans miserable.
I am like many of you, born in raised in this amazing city, wanting nothing more than winners for all of our teams. Losing stinks, the absolute worst thing fans can deal with. This year was brutal, one of the worst Texans teams that we have all had to watch. And the sad truth is, despite having Deshaun Watson, it is going to be tough for a quick big turnaround. There is just so much missing from this roster and so few ways to get better. No draft picks, no cap space and overpaid players currently on the roster...fun, fun stuff.
Nick Caserio deserves a chance from us as fans, and I am willing to give it to him. He is a qualified football guy that has been part of an insanely successful franchise for years. If he is anything close to as good as a lot of people have said he is, this hire could be a home run and again, I am truly hopeful that this thing hits.
Caserio has to fight a battle that he should not have to fight when he gets here, and it is to the fault of his new bosses in the McNair family. And that's where all of our anger is today, sitting with them, this has nothing to do with the qualified football guy that they have hired. This organization continues to sit there and lie to all of our faces and expect us to just take it. We read the SI story on Easterby and if you for one second don't believe it, I have some ocean front property to sell you in Arizona. The guy has come to Houston, clearly soured the culture and is continuing to get his way while being given more power by the day.
Easterby is a problem, but the root of it remains the same, the McNair family needs to go. The city is tired of your ownership of the football team, we have no faith that you will ever figure this thing out. You lie to us left and right, whether it was O'Brien becoming the GM or the Hopkins trade or all of this Easterby stuff, STOP LYING TO US WE ARE NOT DUMB. You literally told us there would be this big search with a committee that turned out to be a lie and you told us that Easterby would have nothing to do with the hire and once again...
When is Easterby going to open up Church Texans and what will the service times be, McNair family? I want to make sure I'm there for the first time the biggest problem you have ever had speaks. So again, to Nick Caserio, I hope you do great things. I want nothing but to come on the radio and say wonderful things about you. But once again, it's just another day to be pissed off at the McNair family and their fascination with trying to be Patriots south. It's tired and done, we want nothing to do with it anymore.
