Astros Provide Updates on Players Not Yet in Camp

In a spring camp unlike any we have seen before, the Astros still do not have every player physically in camp yet, due to intake protocols. The Astros sent out the following note to the media about some players not yet in camp:

The Astros have 72 players on the 2021 Spring Training roster (39 pitchers, eight catchers, 12 infielders and 13 outfielders)…the following players will begin workouts once they complete intake protocols: RHP Blair Henley, C Korey Lee, C Colton Shaver, RHP Peter Solomon, RHP Hector Velazquez and RHP Forrest Whitley…additionally, OF Pedro Leon’s arrival has been delayed as he goes through his Visa process…RHP Zack Greinke is expected to report to camp later this week.

It is important to note here that with these players not being in camp yet, it does not mean that they have tested positive for COVID-19. There are quarantine protocols and testing protocols that make the process of being cleared for camp a bit tricky.
