Not one, not two, not three, but seven, SEVEN, Astros have been named finalists for the nine available American League starting spots in this year's All-Star Game. Here is who's in the running:
Catcher: Martin Maldonaldo
1st Base: Yuli Gurriel
2nd Base: Jose Altuve
3rd Base: Alex Bregman
Shortstop: Carlos Correa
Designated Hitter: Yordan Alvarez
Outfield: Michael Brantley
MLB still doesn't allow you to vote for pitchers but I would like to think that, while he wont start, Zack Greinke would most likely get a spot on the pitching rotation. So that would bring the total to 8 potential Astros players in the All-Star Game.
The point is GO OUT THERE AND VOTE PEOPLE! You want your Stros to start? Then vote them in to start! This is the best way to get back at the rest of the league and their fanbases (besides winning of course). This is the best way to say, "Your booing doesn't affect us. We're still going to win and kick you ass up and down the diamond!"
The boys are having an amazing season. So give them the reward of an All-Star start. Flood the ballot box people and vote for your boys! Voting starts at 11am CST and you can do it here: www.mlb.com/all-star/ballot
