Two games into their respective careers, rookie offensive lineman Andre Dillard, drafted 22nd overall by the Eagles (who traded up to no. 22), and Tytus Howard, drafted 23rd overall by the Texans, some interesting numbers were posted by Warren Sharp of Sharp Football. Take a look and tell me what you think.
What do I think? I think Howard will play left guard this season with Deshaun Watson behind him. He's done that for 11 plays this year, seven of which were pass plays. Howard allowed zero pressures on those plays and the Texans marched right down the field.
I love the use of analytics and PPF advanced stats and I Don't doubt their accuracy, but I'm also less concerned about 1st 2 trips to the preseason field vs. their next 60-100 games in the regular season.
