The Astros won a franchise-best 107 games behind some stellar regular season performances. They extended their season all the way to the seventh game of the World Series, before falling to the Nationals.
Now award season has arrived and they will be well-recognized. On Thursday, Baseball America named Justin Verlander the Major League Player of the Year. A fitting award for the season he just produced.
Maybe even more impressive for the Astros though, is the inclusion of the three runners-up for the award - two of the three are his teammates.
