J.J. Watt on George Floyd's death:"It's disgusting...terrible...upsetting."

During a conference call with the media, Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt was asked about Houstonian George Floyd who died while in custody of the Minneapolis police department. Video was captured showing Floyd having his ability to breathe restricted by an officer who had his knee on Floyd's neck, while Floyd pleaded with him about being unable to breathe. Floyd attended Jack Yates high school and played tight end on their 1992 state runner-up team.

Watt said, “I’ve seen the video and I think it’s disgusting...I think that there's no explanation. To me it doesn't make any sense. I just don't see how a man in handcuffs on the ground who is clearly detained. And is clearly saying, in distress. I don’t understand how that situation can’t be remedied in a way that doesn’t end in his death. I think that it needs to be addressed strongly, obviously. I don't see how that situation makes any sense whatsoever. Anybody who saw the video, I don't know how you can defend it. It's terrible. It's extremely difficult to watch. It's upsetting. So I don't, I just don't understand it."
