In their return back to the court for the first time in months, the Houston Rockets’ offense was clicking, but their defense was not. However, trailing by double digits late, the Rockets tightened their defense and forced overtime thanks to a Robert Covington tip-in near the end of the fourth quarter.
In overtime, James Harden took over, and he finished the game with 49 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Russell Westbrook had 31 points. The Rockets won 153-149.
Both teams put on a firework display in the first half, but the Rockets found themselves trailing 85-75, the highest scoring half of the NBA season.
The Rockets will be back in action on Sunday night vs the Milwaukee Bucks. You can hear all of the action on our sister station, NewsRadio 740 KTRH.
