CFB PLAYOFF 4
1 - GEORGIA
They are flat out dominating this season, the offense isn't sexy but that doesn't seem to matter in CFB this year. They are right now the clear #1 and barring a regular season loss, Georgia should be in the playoff even if they lose against Bama in the SEC title game.
2 - IOWA
Defense is awesome, offense is bleh but great win vs Penn State. If Iowa played Georgia in the National Title Game, the over/under might be 28.
3 - CINCINNATI
Are they really number 3? I don't know but they are undefeated and have earned a spot in this conversation and that won't be changing for me. They should be the first non power 5 team in the playoff if they run the table.
4 - ALABAMA
Sorry Alabama is still a top 4 team in the country. A&M has had some bad losses this year but Jimbo is a good coach and they have a ton of talent. They clearly belong above the rest.
THE FIRST 4 OUT
5 - OKLAHOMA
I wanted to put OU in the top 4 and ahead of Alabama. BUT and I mean BUT, this ranking depends on who they play at QB. Rattler ain't the guy, in fact he walked off the field while his teammates celebrated. If I was confident 100 percent confident he wouldn't be getting his job back then I would have them higher.
6 - PENN STATE
Is a 3 point loss vs the now number 2 team on my list really enough to drop you behind an undefeated Michigan and 1 loss Ohio State? I say no. I think Penn State still belongs in that first two out of the College Football Playoff.
7 - MICHIGAN
If Michigan would have had a more impressive win vs Nebraska, they would have been higher on the list. But I have been impressed so far and we are few weeks away from Michigan playing Michigan State, then two Penn State two weeks later and Ohio State just two weeks after that. This is Michigans big chance to get to the playoff and do it in convincing fashion.
8 - OHIO STATE
I'm probably too low on Ohio State. After a loss against a good Oregon team, they have pretty much crushed since. Michigan State would sit at 9 for me if I went further than 8, since when is the Big 10 the best conference in College Football?
3 Most important games Week 7
Kentucky vs Georgia - Number 1 vs Number 11. Kentucky is a surprise of the year, can they give Georgia a good game?
Oklahoma vs TCU - Game isn't sexy but it's top 3 importance is based solely on who the OU QB will be
Oklahoma State vs Texas - All the sudden Oklahoma State is 12 in the AP Poll, if they make a run and OU stays undefeated, a Big 12 team from Oklahoma may make the playoffs no matter which team wins when Oklahoma State and Oklahoma eventually play.
