The Texans have re-signed veteran tight end Antony Auclair, according to a league source.
A former Tampa Bay Buccaneers reserve on their Super Bowl champion, Auclair joined the Texans on a one-year deal last offseason. He excelled as a blocking tight end.
Auclair signed one-year, $1.9 million with $1.6 million guaranteed, a $300,000 signing bonus, a $1.3 million base salary fully guaranteed, up to $300,000 in per game active roster bonuses and $300,000 playtime incentive clause.
The Canada native played at Université Laval, and was signed by the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2017.
He caught his first NFL touchdown and started 13 games after being promoted from the practice squad, catching five passes for 31 yards. He has 15 career receptions for 131 yards.
