The matchup between the MLB-leading Houston Astros and AL East-contending Boston Red Sox on Father’s Day, June 18, will now broadcast exclusively on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball beginning at 7:05 p.m CT. Gates at Minute Maid Park will open at the special time of 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening in light of the new game time.
The voice of Sunday Night Baseball, Dan Shulman, will call Sunday’s game with analysts Jessica Mendoza and Aaron Boone and reporter Buster Olney beginning at 7:00 p.m. CT on ESPN.
Fans can also listen to Sunday’s 7:05 p.m. game on the Astros flagship radio network, SportsTalk790.
Fans are invited to the Astros Pregame Party prior to Sunday’s matchup from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Budweiser Brew House, which will replace Sunday’s previously-scheduled After Party. Additionally, Kids Run the Bases will not take place following Sunday’s game, and has been rescheduled to Thursday, June 29 after the 1:10 p.m. contest.
As previously scheduled, 10,000 fans will receive a pair of Astros socks presented by Houston Methodist prior to Sunday’s evening matchup.
Houston and Boston will not meet again until the final series of the 2017 regular season in Boston, September 28 - October 1.
