The Houston Rockets came out of the gates with an impressive attack, taking an early lead on the Warriors, before Kevin Durant got Golden State going, but both teams found themselves tied at the half, 56-56. In the second half, the Rockets shooting had stretches where they went cold, and the Warriors worked their lead to double-digits, en route to a 119-106 win in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
James Harden led the Rockets with 41 points and seven assists, while Chris Paul had 23 points and eleven rebounds. Meanwhile, Kevin Durant led the Warriors with 37 points on 14-of-27 shooting, while Klay Thompson added 28 points hitting six three-pointers. Game 2 of the series will take place Wednesday night at Toyota Center.
