After splitting the opening series against the Angels, the Astros now move into their 3-game series against the Red Sox, taking game 1 yesterday evening in dominating fashion. Catching lots of flak over the recent seasons but stepping to the mound yet again for his 2026 season debut, Lance McCullers Jr. turns back time in his start for the Stros', pitching 7 innings long with 9 strikeouts, 4 hits given, and allowing only 1 run to score in the Astros 8-1 victory. Too early to gauge whether or not this amount of production can be sustained, but with hopes of a promising rotation looking to be on the horizon for Houston, Dan and Cole look back on Lance's outing yesterday against Boston and share what they saw in the team last night that could push them to 90 wins and back at another postseason.
