Astros Fall to the Rangers, 6-1

Things for the Astros continue to get worse before they get better. Earlier Monday, they placed pitcher Lance McCullers on the 10-day DL, joining injured teammates Keuchel, Morton and McHugh.

One starting pitcher, Joe Musgrove, came off the DL on Monday to get the start vs the Rangers. Unfortunately, Musgrove would only last 4 2/3 innings, allowing two runs off five hits with two strikeouts.

The Astros bullpen, which has already been taxed as of late, couldn't keep it to a two run deficit as Chris Devenski allowed a run & Dayan Diaz surrendered a three-run HR to Nomar Mazara. For the Rangers, Yu Darvish pitched a gem, keeping Astros hitters guessing all night, pitching seven innings allowing just one run, one hit, with four strikeouts.

In addition, outfielder Josh Reddick left the game with an injury after jumping into the wall. Houston fell to 44-21 on the season and has now lost 5 of their last 7 games, on the heels of snapping an 11-game win streak.
