Astros' George Springer exits with hand injury

Baltimore Orioles v Houston Astros

George Springer exited the Astros' game Thursday afternoon with a left hand injury.

The team described it as a contusion and labeled Springer's status as day to day.

Springer was visibly frustrated as he walked off the field after he was hit by a 92 mph sinker from A's righthander Jesse Hahn five pitches into the game. The pitch grazed off Springer's left shoulder before hitting his hand, at which point he dropped to the ground in pain.
