Astros Beat Cards 7-3, Improve to 3-0 in Spring

posted by Matt Thomas -

The Astros (3-0) continue to shuffle their spring lineups with a mix of starters and minor league talent. On Sunday, it was their top hitting prospect Kyle Tucker fitting right in with the Astros' big leaguers. A first inning three-run homerun from Tucker put the Astros up 4-0, before George Springer added an RBI double in the second along with an RBI single from Alex Bregman.

Gerrit Cole was impressive in his Astros spring debut, pitching two innings with no hits, no walks and two strikeouts. Houston will play the Marlins on Monday at Miami's stadium in Jupiter. You can hear the game tape-delayed on SportsTalk790 on Monday night starting at 6p.
