On Monday night, James Harden took home the league's premier award after he was the top scorer in the NBA, on a team that finished with the best record in the regular season. After coming in second place in two of the last three years, it was Harden's award this season, as he was the best player on the best team.
Harden averaged 30.4 points per game this season, leading his team to 65 wins. Harden is the franchise's first MVP since Hakeem Olajuwon in 1994, and joins Olajuwon and Moses Malone as the only Rockets players to take home the prestigious hardware.
